Isn't Payoneer an Israel based company?

What about merchant account options for Pakistan. From what I know Citibank is the only option and they have the dumbest rules or rather State bank does. They really do not take start-ups or only web based merchants into account. Why you are supposed to have a physical outlet for past two years is beyond me.

Do you know of any merchant account solutions who send payments to Pakistan?

I found PlanetAuthorize.com but their online form seems to be down and they are not bothering to answer their emails anymore.

Salam.

I am having a small freelance software and website application development business. I have a lot of ideas which can groom Pakistani web market and definitely the economy, but unfortunately, as there is no instant money transaction system in Pakistan, it is useless to work them.

I have an idea. Why now some Pakistani firms (could be Ufone or Telenor ventured with some bank like CITI or Bank-Al-Habib etc.) start a PayPal like service? Or something that could be done in the way we do charge our Cell Phone credits!

For example, I go to that Pakistani money exchange website and sign-up there. Then, I go to mobile shop/frenchise/bank and buy a pre-paid money-card (say of 500 PKR) - Like I do for my mobile. Then, I scratch that card and enter the number in my online-account. The credit will be loaded (I get some confirmation notification email).

Now, I go to some other Pakistani website (may be online market... ebay.pk hehe - I wish we could have it!). I put items in my cart and finally when I check-out, I enter my pakistani money exchange website username/password (like we do in PayPal etc.) The money is exchanged (online market website would be connected to money exchange system with something like APIs/SDK or programming integration etc. The market got the money, I got the product. Market guy go to bank (or this thing could be online) and withdraw money!

Is there any volunteer who could work this for Pakistan? It needs a lot of investment I know but companies like Ufone, Telenor, Mobilink etc. coupled with big banks can work this! I am ready to provide "free" services in the development of such portal. I am already working for many US, UK, Canada and SA companies and have written number of money-transfer modules.

Lets do something for Pakistan. Instead of begging from PayPal !
